  • V. Ramaswami had one of the longest tenures (1956-65). Rajendra Mal Lodha (2008) and Dipak Misra (2009-10) later became Chief Justices of India.
  • Rekha Manharlal Doshit (from 21 June 2010) was the first woman Chief Justice of the Patna High Court.
