Mod 2: Pyrite & Gold Reserves

It is to be noted that Pyrite is a naturally occurring iron sulfide mineral, which contains iron and sulfur ($). It is used in the manufacture of sulfuric acid and for soil conditioning.

Primary Gold Ore Reserves:

• According to Indian Minerals Yearbook, 2023: Bihar (43%), Rajasthan (24.92%), Karnataka (20%), West Bengal (2.47%), Andhra Pradesh (3.03%) and Jharkhand (2%).
• According to Indian Minerals Yearbook, 2024: The major states with primary gold ore reserves are Bihar (44%), Rajasthan (25%), Karnataka (21%), West Bengal (3%), Andhra Pradesh (3%) and Jharkhand (2%).
