Exclusions from ASI Purview: Defence establishments, oil storage and distribution depots, departmental units such as railway workshops, RTC workshops, Government Mints, sanitary, water supply, gas storage, etc. are excluded.

Between 2007-08 and 2017-18, the growth rate of operating agro-based factories in Bihar reached 11.7 percent (9.3 percentage points higher than the national level). Operating non-agro-based factories grew at 4.9 percent in Bihar compared to 4.1 percent at all-India level.
